PERSONAL: Dr. Livezey is is a veteran of over four years in the U.S. Air Force. His principal recreational activities are hiking, backpacking, and trail running. In this last regard he has completed the entire Appalachian and John Muir Trails, is a Long Trail End-to-Ender, and a member of the New England 4000er, Adirondack 46er, and Northeast 111er Clubs. In the last several years he has summited the Grand Teton, Mt. Shasta, and Mt. Rainier.
